Dr. Kathleen Cooney is honored to provide gentle euthanasia services for your pet at our comfort center. Dr. Cooney is one of the world’s leading providers of companion animal euthanasia and has designed the center to be a safe haven for your pet and family during this difficult time. To increase privacy, we help one family at a time at our center. We welcome all friends and family to be present, including all ages of children and other family pets.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by a caring member of our staff out in the parking area. There we will escort you into the center through a private entrance. Once inside, you are invited to settle into our comfortable living-room style space, complete with carpet, sofas, and soft lighting. If your pet and family prefers to gather outside in our memorial garden, this can be readily accommodated.
The Guardian Pet euthanasia experience is gentle, calm, and supportive for your pet and family. You are welcome to bring favorite blankets, beds, and treats to make the setting even more comfortable. Once Dr. Cooney has ensured all your wishes are in order, including aftercare, your pet will be given a sedative to help them sleep. Once sleeping after a few minutes time, your pet will be given another medicine to facilitate a peaceful passing. Dr. Cooney will talk you through the procedure so everyone knows what to expect. All are welcome to stay and be present if they wish. You decide how involved you want to be. After your pet’s peaceful passing, a paw print keepsake will be made for you to take home. All pets are treated with the utmost respect and patience. It is their time and we go at their pace; we match what they need.
